“Small Art, Great Cause” exhibit and fundraiser

Sometimes, things just happen for a reason. In this case, we feel they did.

With each exhibition, Try it ART organizes a fundraiser for a local non-profit. Typically, we select a cause related to the arts. This was no different for our last (and upcoming) exhibition. Initially, our choice fell on award-winning non-profit, Art à la Carte in Calgary. An absolutely wonderful organization who has done amazing work over the past 25 years. However, this weekend we received the sad news that they will seize their activities within the next couple of months. What to do? Then our eye fell on a local fundraiser for the Bragg Creek Community Center. But of course! Why did we not think of them before?

Although we are truly sad to lose an organization like Art à la Carte, we feel we have a chance to now helping this local facility, so vital to a small community like Bragg Creek. Hopefully, you all feel the same way and support our efforts.

“Small Art, Great Cause” exhibit and fundraiser

So, here we go: Are you an artist? Would you like to be included in our “Small Art, Great Cause” exhibit and get regular features on social media? Would you like to help a non-profit organization, so essential for a small community like Bragg Creek?

You totally can! This is how it works:

Each registered artist donates one or more small artworks (max. 8”x7” or 7”x8”), on thick, high-quality paper towards our “Small Art, Great Cause” fundraiser. It offers them a unique opportunity to share their art, support their local community, and have their work on display in our new Bragg Creek gallery. Try it ART will reward the generous artists by featuring them in their regular social media postings (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter). This will create some well-deserved online and social media exposure for the contributing artists leading up, and for the duration of, the exhibition.

Proceeds benefitting the Bragg Creek Community Center

As mentioned, proceeds from this fundraiser go towards the Bragg Creek Community Center. Through its programs and volunteers, the BCCC offers many community programs, and it hosts fun events throughout the year, like Taste of Bragg Creek and Bragg Creek Days. Last but not least, an array of community groups depend on the BCCC, like the Community Church, Performing Arts, Community Kindergarten etc.
