“Take Me to the Sea” (2018) a seascape by German artist, Gesa Reuter
A beautiful, sculpture-like seascape in soft blue and turquoise colours that feels like a misty day at the sea. Waves and water splashing, mist in the air; fresh and alive with lots of marks and texture, just like nature itself. This painting has lots of layers on a wood cradle. Most of it being waxed and treated with heat (encaustic art), so it has a very interesting surface that is half shiny and very nice to touch.
“Take Me To The Sea” is part of Gesa’s new waxworks series.
With the sides painted, this work does not require framing. It is signed on the back.
