“Silver Dream” by abstract landscape artist, Gesa Reuter
Recently I have been overpainting older works, trying new ways of expressing emotions and feelings. For “Silver Dream” I started to play around with colours and I thoroughly enjoyed the texture of it while working with a palette knife; completely absorbed in what it felt like.
“Silver Dream” can be experienced as a nightscape with a full moon and dancing silver light. Or perhaps you see waves coming in under completely calm nightly skies. Like life itself, there is constant change and we have to deal with it. It can be stormy and wild or containing great beauty. As with most of Gesa’s paintings, the emphasis is on the light. “Where there is light, there is hope!”
You can see the metal pigments sparkle when hit by light, especially visible with the darker image. Let this painting surprise you with how it changes its colours, depending on the light.
This work is signed on the back. Framed in a silvery, floating wooden frame, “Silver Dream” is ready to hang.
