“Pier Obsession”, an abstract cityscape on handmade paper, by Donna Winn
Winn, about this abstract cityscape, on beautiful handmade paper given to her by a friend: “I had a beautiful sheet of handmade paper and sprayed it with ink. At first, I had nothing in mind but playing with the gesso and putting lines down. Being free! An image started to appear and I followed with my lines and values. I started to see a city, and the water was reflecting off-shore. An image of a man in a boat appeared, and I worked with that to bring it out more. I had so much fun creating this conceptual piece on such a remarkable piece of paper. I hope you enjoy!”
