“Open Cages I” by Bea Garding Schubert
First impression when looking at this modern artwork, the viewer sees geometrical abstraction. But after revisiting, one discovers objects: small persons and letters, like the “e” for “explorer”. The red cages are opening, representing freedom. Bea: “Despite the chaos, there is freedom.” “Open Cages I” and “Open Cages II”, can be hung together like sister pieces, and are meant to be statements. Changing the atmosphere in a positive way, offering a sense of freedom and hope in this sometimes difficult world.
Painted on a high-quality canvas, with covered edges, and framing is not required. Bea signed it on the front and the work is varnished to protect it from dust and UV light.
Art with a message
“Open Cages” are part of Bea’s Open World collection, which is characterized by a gentle encouragement to open our minds, our hearts, and our worlds to love, hope and peace. So beautifully reflected by the white in these paintings.
