“Yasuni” by contemporary painter Charley Jones
Charley Jones about “Yasuni”: “This portrait is in honour of the people of the Yasuni region in the Ecuadorian rainforest. They are faced with looming invasion of multinational oil companies attempting to coerce the region and dominate their natural resources. I am trying to capture their transient beauty within the changing eco-systems and lush environment.”
Expect impasto mark making and visible brush strokes, with subtle exchanges of vivid greens, flesh tints, and deep yellow ochres.
