“Calgary Nightscape” (2019), oils on canvas by contemporary artist, Bernhard Cociancig
Bernhard Cociancig on his inspiration for his diptych, “Calgary Nightscape”: “The Calgary area is dear and close to my heart. Years ago, I had the privilege of residing there for about three years and I would love to go back one day. Not only to visit but to live; if only part of the year. This painting pictures the Calgary skyline, seen from Crescent Heights, looking down on the riverwalk and the Bow River, towards Centre Street. A nightscape of Calgary brings back many wonderful memories.”
“Calgary Nightscape” is part of Bernhard’s landscape series, for which he found his inspiration in places he visited.
