“We build too many walls and not enough bridges.” — Isaac Newton
“Building Bridges II” by Bea Garding-Schubert
Bea on this artwork, and the “Building Bridges” series: “These works are talking about people who, like tightrope walkers, are trying to cross an abstract, colourful landscape.”
As with all of her work, this series also comes with a deeper laying message: “Let’s build a bridge to a new day; paved with kindness and respect for others. Then, let’s cross it together. Each person can take on the role of bridge building in a world that is so divided and where much hostility exists. Separating groups, races, and nations.”
With the edges painted and its rich and colourful texture, these playful works are truly something different. All of the works within the “Building Bridges” are little statement pieces.
“Building Bridges” I and II are beautiful by themselves, and awesome together.
Art with a message
All of Bea’s paintings are carriers of positivity, hope, change, light, and optimism. “I feel it as my obligation, my task even, to open people’s eyes, minds, and hearts. Inspire them to change, or simply see things in a more positive way. Provide them with a different aspect of the world around them.”
